A VERY HAPPY THANSGIVING

A very Happy Thanksgiving to you all! There is so much that I am grateful for in my life today.

Over the last few months I have been very busy with taking care of my Mom who was hospitalized at the beginning of October. Prior to that my husband's oldest sister was very sick with cancer and we lost her in September. Needless to say, life is in session!

One-day-at-a-time we are healing and just beginning to come back to life. I put my 2 side businesses on hold and have been home mostly taking care of what needed to be done each day. Again, I could not have survived without the love and support of the people I have chosen to call Family. God may have our life on hold in one area, but he is busy at work in many others for the good.

I miss being part of this wonderful community of business women, but for today I need to focus all my energy on my Family.

Get ready to celebrate June weddings and anniversaries with this sweet Vintage African-American Bride & Groom cake topper.

They Measure 4 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" wide across their back. The bride dress is an ivory lace with a piece of what looks like tule for her veil. The set is plastic with painted faces and clothes.

They are in good vintage condition with no tears in the lace and no cracks in the dolls. They could use a light clean but otherwise they are wonderful!

WONDERFUL PAIR OF ALTERED CZECH GLASS BUTTON EARRINGS

This is a very pretty pair of Czech glass buttons that measure a little more than 1/2" altered and made into a pair of earrings. I used silver plated bails that are made for creating earrings. The buttons have tan background and hand painted gold branches with blue and green leaves.

This is a beautiful set! Matching set of cups and saucers for espresso. From Aramco Imports made by Casati Fine Porcelain and made in Germany. Each one is a different color with the same gorgeous flower in the center. The flower looks like a pansy to me? Colors are pink, red, blue,yellow, orange and purple. Each saucer is in the shape of a heart with gold gilt trim. The handles on the cups are in a 1/2 of the heart. So beautiful! The set comes in its original box. The top of the box shows some spots but the entire set is in excellent used condition with no spots or damage anywhere. This is a great find!

Gorgeous pink heart shaped saucer with matching cup. The handle on the cup is a half of a heart trimmed in gold!

Each matching cup and saucer is a different color with the same flower pattern.

Great Garage Sale Finds

I had so much fun yesterday with a friend of mine going through a home she is selling. She is having a 3 day estate sale this week and she let me pick out what I wanted before the rush of the big crowd.

What cool things I found hidden in this lovely home. I knew the couple growing up. The gentleman (who has since passed) was a really good friend of my Dad. I knew he was a collector but was so surprised at what he had!

I acquired a large lot of very old magazines, newspapers and some other great old vintage paper items too. With a lot of restrain I left some of them there.

I hope to add some of these to this weeks Friday Flea Market finds so I hope you will check them out. For me there is still no better success than Estate sales. I ALWAYS find just the greatest stuff.

CZECH GLASS PICTURE NAIL COVER

NEW ~ VICTORIAN STYLE PICTURE NAIL COVERS

I really do love to find and sell vintage items that can be recycled and put to good use in our lives. Why not? The quality of workmanship back in the day is so high. I also love great collectibles.

Recently, in some research I was doing I discovered a beautiful alternative to having nail heads showing on some of the items hung on my wall. Back in the Victorian era, homes had picture rail moldings to hang pictures from. Of course, not every corner of the house could use them so nails were used instead. Keeping with the beauty and elegance of this glorious era, Victorian buttons were used to cover the ugly head of the nail. They were called "picture nails". Picture nails were very popular a century ago and they are becoming popular once again.

Being the button lover that I am, I just HAD to give it a try. In my rather large stash of collectible and vintage buttons, I found a group that are just perfect for the job!

I am offering Picture Nail Buttons made from mostly my Czech Glass buttons. I hope you like them. I just cannot find enough things to put these gorgeous buttons to use with!

Oh how I love this time of year!! I have had a love affair with anything shaped in a heart for over 30 years. I have a huge heart collection and I just love it. Hearts are my longest, largest and by far my favorite of all the crazy things I collect.

I am including a picture of some of my hearts from my collection. I hope you like them!
The glass heart is a small depression glass "trinket" dish. The small red heart is one from my Czech Glass collection (currently for sale). I LOVE theses buttons!!! "Be Merry" was a gift from my Neice and I NEVER packed it away after I opened it one Christmas a few years back. The heart card is a very old vintage Valentine's Day card which is a piece I have kept from my 80 billion postcards!! LOL

This is such a pretty button! I have made this into a wearable jewelry pendant. It has an opaque white glass base with raised pink ceramic (or bisque) 'forget me not' flowers covering the top. VINTAGE HAND PAINTED CZECH GLASS CAMEO BUTTON PENDANT

Very pretty hand painted Czech glass button. This is a dark sienna brown cameo with light tan background button made into a wearable jewelry pendant. Very nice raised details. This pendant button was made in the early 1900's. It was found in an old Czech Republic warehouse. Excellent condition with no cracks or chips. She measures just over an inch or about 27mm and has a silver-plated button pendant finding on the back for your favorite chain.

These wonderful buttons are all so beautiful I am unable to keep mine in a case, so I wear them! I wear them with ribbon necklaces and silver chains.
